Spun out on an off ramp last night and tappeda railing; roads were wet, but i didnt think theyd be this slick.. Tried to recover the spin but there wasn’t enough room. Car still runs though, headlights still work and it looks repairable but I dont have the time or resources to repair her :(

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Where-about are you located? I’m hoping with that OSU front plate you’re somewhat nearby and would accept help in mending this?

I think I cringed a little, I hate seeing cars that got into a wreck, hopefully a miracle happens and you’re able to fix her.

I’ve broken traction near a guardrail with my 300D and gotten it back under control, but a buddy lost his (newer, W210) E 300D even worse than you. Probably a good thing you weren’t that much into it, but what a shame.

Shit... I feel your pain, though. Just don’t do what I did and sell it before the shock wears off. I posted my truck up on the National Lightning Owner’s Club forums and sold it as a parts truck 2 days after the wreck. It only took me a couple of weeks to really regret that decision. Sit on it for a bit if you can.

U can forgive yourself but I’ll never forgive you. Just kidding but fix that shit. If I replaced an Allroad render that should be easy

My brother had a cherry ’83 300D with a veggie conversion. Got it for cheaps from a friend and had all the needed repairs done at a high end Benz dealer. He was out of town and I picked it up for him after the repairs were done. It rained that night and I turned it around in the middle of the street while making a left. Luckily I didn’t hit anything. He got hit by a red light runner a year later and it folded in half. RIP french fry (it both looked and smelled like french fries).

Opposaurus stands as a monument to man’s automotive arrogance.

I bonked (years ago) a W123 300d we have almost as badly as niquemarshal bonked his W124, but we managed to save it. I’ve managed to avoid bonking my W124, but like I said above there was once a near run at it.

Hope you’re alright! The car can be fixed. People injuries are far less forgiving.

Ugh
That really sucks. Keep us all posted on the repairs or whatever you choose to do. I see that you’re a Buckeye fan. Are you an alum?

Damn that stinks. I assume you’re ok, as old MBs tend to crash well. Looks like a borderline goner, although you could make it a long term labor of love. If not, get another and use the parts to keep it going :)

It’s nothing but a bunch of nuts and bolts. Nuts and bolts that are odd sizes that you won’t be able to find sockets for in your toolbox

That sucks dude. Sit on it for a bit, if it’s truly fixable and you want to keep it, you’ll find a way to fix it.
I’ve always liked those Mercs. Especially the wagons.

Dang, I’m between Akron and Cleveland - a bit far for day-tripping :(
Hopefully you get things straightened out (no pun intended) - let me know if I can help remotely
